Signed by 181 CEOs, including American Express, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase & Co., and the Progressive Company, these executives affirm to lead their companies for the benefit of ALL stakeholders (yes, stakeholders), including customers, employees, suppliers, communities and shareholders. While the WannaCry Ransomware crisis wreaked havoc in 150 countries and impacted hundreds of thousands of computers, there are a few good things to come out of it. For one, it presents an opportunity for all organizations, especially those located in the U.S. where WannaCry was gentle on us, to: reassess their network security; be vigilant about patching viruses and other vulnerabilities; provide cyber security education to all employees, and back up data, either offsite or in the cloud.
